Sugar Plum Lowchen

Lowchen, also called Little Lion Dogs, are a small, active and lively breed. Those of us who live with them call them "the best kept secret in dogs" because of their wonderful personalities, compact size and the fact that they are a rare breed. While our breed numbers have been dangerously low, people are learning about this amazing breed and wanting to share their lives with them.

Lowchen are non-shedding which makes them a candidate for homes where allergies may be a concern. They are biddable and enjoy many dog sports including barn hunt, agility or dock diving, but are just as happy to hang out and watch TV. They tend to be great with other dogs and kids.

We invite you to browse our site to learn more about us, our dogs and this amazing breed.

While we enjoy the little lions in our lives, we are no longer breeding them, but can refer you to other quality breeders.

GCH Roger x CH Cannoli

Moneypenny is our beautiful pick puppy from Cannoli's second and last litter, bred to Roger. Moneypenny has been a special girl since she was little. After collecting 7 points, including a 5 point major Moneypenny was pulled during the pandemic and we made the decision to cut her down.

We decided she was just too pretty not to finish, so we grew her coat out and took her out to one show where she picked up her second 5 point major going Best of Breed over a champion and getting a pull in a nice group ring.

We decided to hold off for our National where Moneypenny finished with a 5 point major by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Bred By. She finished completely from the Bred-by Exhibitor class. We couldn't be more proud.

Moneypenny is co-owned by our dear friend Colette Posados of Knight Miniature Poodles.

GRCH Kristarz My Shout for Potrero, TKN

Jäger was imported from Australia from the renowned Kristarz Kennel and bred by Kari Harding.

Jager exceeded our expectations as a show dog and producer. During his career he was #11 in breed, #2 owner handled Lowchen, a top producer and a wonderful ambassador for the breed. He has produced group placing and top ranked Lowchen.

We are forever grateful to Kari for allowing this wonderful boy to come to the US.

CH Kenny x CH Beatrice

Cannoli was our first Lowchen. We began showing Cannoli when the numbers in the breed were very low, so it took some time to find dogs to compete with.

Cannoli finished her championship and gave us two beautiful litters.

One of her sons CC, is a finishedchampion and her daughter,Moneypenny is currently being shown.

Cannoli is retired from showing and breeding and is currently competing in barn hunt, which she thoroughly enjoys!
