We have been breeding Dachshunds since 1999. We have owned and loved many standard dachshunds of all varieties since 1993. In 2020 we decided we wanted to get a miniature smooth Dachshund. We got our Rook (Ch. BenBon Spirit in the Sky) from Bonnie Gold of BenBon Dachshunds. This friendship has blossomed into a partnership and we are happy to be able to start our miniature smooth breeding program with such wonderful dogs.

Our goal at Braveheart Dachshunds is to breed healthy, beautiful miniature Dachshunds with outstanding temperaments. Whether you are looking for a show dog, a companion or a sport prospect, our Dachshunds fit the bill.

Rook was obtained from Bonnie Gold of BenBon Dachshunds.
Rook is a very spirited and correct Dachshund and to say that we adore him is an understatement.
He is an International Champion and is just a single point away from his AKC Championship.
We have our first litter out of Rook and are very happy with the puppies he has produced and look forward to showing his daughter, Lizzo.

Just like Rook, our Reba comes from Bonnie Gold of BenBon Dachshunds.
We are so grateful to have Reba as our foundation bitch for our breeding program.
Reba's temperament is second to none. She is an amazing dog on every level. Reba finished her Grand Championship and is a wonderful dog and structurally correct.

CH Rook x GCH Reba
Lizzo is our first bred-by champion out of our first Rook x Reba litter. Lizzo finished easily, with most of her points from the puppy class and with three majors at under a year old.
We are absolutely thrilled with this young girl and can't wait to see what the future holds. At just a little over a year old, Lizzo has some maturing to do, but she is a blast to show.
Lizzo is co-owned with our dear friend Michelle Wolff.

Georgie was bred by our friend Sharon Curry of Shonleh Dachshunds and we are thrilled to have this little firecracker.
Once more mature Georgie will get to strut her stuff in the show ring, for now we are letting her just grow up.
Shown once in 4-6 puppy competition, she came away with a Puppy Group One and we couldn't be more proud of her.
